Hoagy On Readmore Building



We are active participants in the quality of life in our community.  The project below is one of the actions we have initiated.




We raised the funds to paint a 40 foot tall Hoagy Carmichael portrait
on the back of the Readmore Building.
with permission of the owners Empire Title.

This portrait now greets every vistor entering Richmond from the south
as it overlooks Highway 27, and reminds everyone of Richmond's
Starr-Gennett heritage.
It also overlooks the crossroads of the National Road and the Underground Railway.

This portrait of Hoagy Carmichael is complete!
