Richmond Art Works
The Gas Works Building

We are active participants in the quality of life in our community.  The projects below are some of the actions we have initiated.

Imagine a structurally sound building that has historical value, is centrally located between Downtown Richmond, Richmond High School, and Earlham College.  Sitting on a hill overlooking the Memorial Park and the Whitewater Gorge, with a train bridge that crosses over Main Street linking it to the Starr-Gennett Valley.

With access to the Cardinal Greenway it would be an ideal place to have an environmental center, Veteran's Museum, Peace Garden, classrooms, sculpture studio, theater and performance space, a coffee shop and public restrooms.

Plumbing and electricity exist; clean-up, elbow grease, and civic pride are all that are needed.

This site has been a toxic dump, and extensive work has to be done to restore the grounds.
What better place to make a statement of what we can accomplish?
